Crap I have been numerous time as well as being acquainted with many people, including ASSK brother.
Lets put it this way, I know a lot of important people there.
Some pro Generals some anti Generals, mixed bag.
I see pockets of repression in particular the Muslim population in Rakine state but guess what?
Who are the bosses of that repression?
The Israelis that's who! Israel the Government want to maintain a grip on Bangladesh/Myanmar Islamic tendency's.
A very special relations exists between the generals and Israel as it was Burma that was one of the very first to recognise Israel, and the relationship has blossomed ever since.
They are the professors of repression. The students are the Government.
I guess you did not know that?
I general I see little repression, unless you are a radical, spy for America, but like Thailand, you probably know you can be shot easily if you protest about the environment. Or for that matter may parts of Asia like the completely US vassal state the Philippines
I agree the people need more progress, they won't get that will Americans like you supporting sanctions anti tourism.
They had elections November 2010 in which ASSK breakaways took seats.
If you know Myanmar so well?.
You would know that the people expected the results and were looking forward to the next elections and the next elections for progress, but not this one!!
But this was a start to democracy Asian style vastly different from US style.
Why is it that the UN spends 50 million on aid inside Myanmar but 150 million in aid outside Myanmar. It should be the other way around should it not?
Of course saboteur and misinformation for Burmese stooges costs money does it not? Which is why $150 is spent outside of Myanmar
Moreover my crew in Yangon are all diplomats. People talk freely to me including the locals?
Obviously not to you it seems?
Americans/ English are there for one thing only a Capital T for THIEF.
